“Captain Marvel and the World of Your Tomorrow!”

From Fawcett's 1943 anthology series comes this charming issue featuring Captain Marvel — in his signature red-and-gold costume — leaning over what appears to be a futuristic scale model of a city, pointing out its wonders to a wide-eyed young boy named Johnny. The cover art by C. C. Beck radiates warmth and optimism, with Marvel's speech bubble promising to show the lad "the world of YOUR tomorrow." It's a wonderfully hopeful snapshot of wartime-era comics at their most imaginative, headlining the story "Captain Marvel and the World of Your Tomorrow!
