Amelia reconciles with Kyle, who joins their other friends in helping her and Rhonda make their getaway on a 15-hour bus trip. While they're gone, Reggie leads many of the other kids on a massive assault against the cheerleading competition, which he calls the first step in an adult conspiracy to snuff out their childhoods. Amelia finds the despairing Tanner, angrily demands that she pull herself together, and shows a video of many kids praising Tanner's music and begging for her return. Tanner takes the girls home. Despite loads of punishment, they serenely agree that it was worth it.
