“Thomas Troy, Gangster!”

In "Thomas Troy, Gangster!", a desperate man takes a dangerous gamble with a pair of mystical lenses, believing invisibility will grant him power—only to discover that becoming unseen comes at a cost he never anticipated. Steve Ditko’s stark, expressive art brings a chilling tension to this eerie tale of perception and consequence, while John Giunta’s cover captures the story’s unsettling mood. A standout entry in the Alan Class series, this issue delivers a thought-provoking twist on a classic premise.

A man threatens a witch unless she hands over two lenses which will make him invisible. She implores him not to try it, but relinquishes the lens. They can be reversed to make the invisible visible once again, but what the man did not expect is that when he becomes invisible to the outside world, the outside world in turn becomes invisible to him.
