Amazing Spider-Man: Renew Your Vows #2

Part of Marvel's 2015 Secret Wars crossover event, this issue pairs Dan Slott's writing with Adam Kubert's art for a story that puts Peter Parker in a deeply unsettling spot. The cover — penciled and inked by Kubert — says it all: a terrified, camera-slung Peter is pinned to the ground, symbiote tendrils coiling around him as an enormous, slavering Venom looms above, jaws wide open and ready to consume him whole. It's a wonderfully tense image that captures Peter at his most vulnerable, stripped of his suit and facing one of his most fearsome foes with nothing but sheer dread.
