Amazing Spider-Man #1.2

Part two of "Amazing Grace" arrives with a cover that stops you cold — Spider-Man is engulfed by a swarm of grasping, pallid hands erupting from the earth around him, his masked face turned skyward in what reads as equal parts anguish and desperate resolve. The painterly detail that Simone Bianchi brings to every clawing finger and crumbling patch of soil gives the image a genuinely unsettling weight, suggesting our hero is in very deep trouble. Writer Jose Molina's arc continues to look like one of the more atmospheric Spidey stories of 2016, and this cover sets the mood perfectly.
