Amazing Mary Jane #3

Mary Jane Watson takes center stage in this 2020 Marvel series, and issue #3's cover makes a compelling case for why she deserves the spotlight — dressed in an elegant pink gown, she stands defiantly between a crumpling Spider-Man and two looming threats: the winged Vulture diving from above and the fishbowl-helmeted Mysterio wreathed in eerie green-and-purple energy. It's a striking image by cover artists Humberto Ramos, with MJ positioned not as someone to be rescued but as the one doing the protecting. Writer Leah Williams and artists Carlos Gómez and Lucas Werneck bring plenty of firepower to the interior, promising a story as bold as its heroine.
