In "Carnival of Death!", the X-Men are sent to investigate a new mutant signal, leading them to a mysterious traveling carnival where they encounter the Blob—a towering, immovable sideshow performer with a body that defies bullets and gravity. Though they try to recruit him, the Blob refuses their offer and returns to the carnival, forcing the team to confront him again when they realize he now knows their secret.
