Marvel's post-apocalyptic gladiator Killraven takes center stage in this July 1974 installment of Amazing Adventures, where the cover — penciled by Gil Kane and John Romita and inked by Mike Esposito and John Romita — plunges him into a breathtaking brawl atop a racing vehicle at a devastated Indianapolis 500, locked in fierce combat with the armored, gold-suited villain Skar while Martian war machines loom and burn in the background. The tagline bills it as "the grudge-match of the 21st century," and the cover delivers that promise with raw, kinetic energy. Inside, Don McGregor scripts "The Devil's Marauder" with art by Rich Buckler and inks by Klaus Janson — a creative team that gave this H.G.
