Amazing Adventures #16

The January 1973 cover by Jim Starlin and Frank Giacoia says it all — a blue-furred Beast strains desperately against the crushing grip of the Juggernaut, who towers in red armor and sneers that the Beast's strength could "never match the Juggernaut," while a group of Marvel heroes including Spider-Man, Captain America, Thor, Iron Man, and Black Widow rush in from the background. The tagline "One Must Die — In the Dark of Halloween!" gives the whole confrontation a wonderfully ominous seasonal charge. Steve Englehart, Bob Brown, and Marie Severin bring Hank McCoy's solo era some of its most memorable action in "...And the Juggernaut Will Get You... If You Don't Watch Out!
