All Star Western #7
Part of DC's New 52 line in 2012, All Star Western #7 delivers a visceral cover by José Ladrönn that says everything about what's at stake: a fierce, white-haired woman wielding blades leaps onto a bloodied, shirtless man in what looks unmistakably like a combat arena, lanterns glowing in the ironwork above them. The tagline "If Good Looks Could Kill…" perfectly matches the controlled fury on her face. With a story titled "The Arena" and the creative team of Gray, Palmiotti, Moritat, Scherberger, Green, and Austin inside, this issue promises gritty frontier action with a sharp edge.
