Part of DC's New 52 zero-issue initiative in 2012, this special chapter of All Star Western puts Jonah Hex front and center — literally — as the scarred bounty hunter bursts forward with both pistols blazing, flames erupting from the barrels and his long duster billowing behind him. The surrounding sketch-work imagery hints at a deeper story waiting inside, rendered in vivid color contrast by cover artist Ariel Olivetti. With writers Justin Gray and Jimmy Palmiotti alongside artist Moritat, this series remains one of the most distinctive Westerns in DC's lineup.
