All-Out War #5

DC's "Giant Battle Book" format packed three combat magazines into one dollar in 1980, and All-Out War #5 delivers that promise with a cover by Joe Kubert that's as kinetic as anything on the stands. Dominating the foreground, a blond, bare-armed Viking Commando swings what appears to be a large weapon into enemy machinery with explosive force, while surrounding vignettes tease additional stories — Black Eagle issuing a tense order to his squadron, a chaotic scene labeled "The Civilizing of M'Kala," and Capt.
