Peter David and Carmine Di Giandomenico's All-New X-Factor keeps the corporate-sponsored mutant team's 2014 run full of personality, and issue #9 makes that clear right from its cover by Kris Anka. The cover presents a shirtless, dark-haired man lounging on rumpled sheets, playing cards in hand, while a blonde woman sits with her back to us — the tagline "My super-power? I'm irresistible ta women" doing a lot of the talking. It's a confident, wryly intimate image that hints at the series' signature blend of action and character-driven drama.
