Issue sixteen of Tom Taylor, Nik Virella, and Michael Garland's run delivers a genuinely unsettling cover by David López: Laura — claws fully extended on both hands — crouches forward wearing a heavy, red-visored mind-control helmet, her expression somewhere between a snarl and a grimace, while green tubes and wires web out behind her against a blazing orange background. The image bristles with tension, suggesting a Wolverine stripped of her own agency but not her lethality. "Enemy of the State II: Part Four" promises exactly the kind of high-stakes, morally complicated storytelling this series does so well.
