All New Savage She-Hulk #1

Part of Marvel's 2009 Dark Reign event, this opening issue of the four-part limited series announces itself with a striking Alex Garner cover: a fierce, green-skinned She-Hulk in orange battle armor surges forward, wild red hair flying, claws bared above a ruined cityscape. Flanking her below are a blonde woman in red and a grey-green Hulk-like figure, both dwarfed by her presence and clearly caught up in something volatile. Writer Fred Van Lente and artists Peter Vale and Robert Atkins bring "W.M.D. — Woman of Mass Destruction" to life, and this cover alone makes a confident case that this She-Hulk means serious business.
