All-New Hawkeye #1
A moody, painterly cover sets the tone for this 2016 series launch, with a weathered older man's ghost-like face looming large in teal and amber behind a young woman armed with a bow — two generations of purpose rendered in Ramon Pérez's striking color-washed style. Jeff Lemire kicks off "The Bishop's Man" with both Hawkeyes sharing the stage, and Ian Herring's atmospheric palette gives the whole image a sense of memory, tension, and uneasy coexistence. It's a genuinely compelling opening statement for a creative team that clearly has something to say.
