Alien: The Original Screenplay #1

Dark Horse brings Dan O'Bannon's original Alien screenplay to comics form in 2020, with Cristiano Seixas adapting the source material and Guilherme Balbi providing both line work and inks throughout. The cover — also by Balbi — is a brooding, atmospheric piece rendered against a near-black void: a grotesque, humanoid figure crouches in a posture of eerie repose, impaled or fused with a massive cross-like structure, glowing faintly at its joints as if lit from some unseen, dying star. It's a deeply unsettling image that captures the cosmic dread at the heart of O'Bannon's vision before you've turned a single page.
