Jun 1979 · Gold Medal Books · 1.25 USD
“Stamp Out Graffiti”

This 1979 Fawcett Gold Medal collection brings together the medieval mischief of Johnny Hart and Brant Parker's beloved newspaper strip in one cheerfully chaotic package. Brant Parker's cover art sets the tone perfectly — the star-and-moon-robed Wizard is hunched over a smoking cauldron crackling with lightning bolts and sparks, while a bemused little figure beside him delivers the deadpan speech bubble: "Which strip are you working for?" It's a wonderfully self-aware gag that captures exactly the dry wit fans of *The Wizard of Id* have always loved.
