A young Indian named Red Lance is accused by the evil Nunchuk of stealing the famed Thunderbird idol, which keeps the giant Thunderbird penned up and under control. The Heap frees the young warrior and, together, make their way to Thunderbird Mesa and observe Nunchuk release the bird to attack the pueblos of Yopi.
