An anthology issue containing three stories: "Skinny McGinty," in which the thin Mayor McGinty attempts to win a doughnut-eating contest to help local doughnut makers, only to fail and become "Miss America"; a text story featuring Captain Johnny McLaine and Captain Stewart surviving a plane crash on an iceberg after striking the Titanic wreck, drifting on the Gulf Stream before being rescued by a Navy plane; and "The Flying Dutchman," depicting a pilot searching through the airways of the past for a mysterious "Fliers' Grail," encountering supernatural obstacles and the curse of those who failed before him while seeking a trophy.

The flag passes from the Heap to the village fool, who carries it to the Elders—though what the Elders will do with it remains unknown.
