In World War II France, a lagend has it that when the last of Charlemagne's lineage dies the Iron Ace will return to save the homeland. Hidden by Dr. Lafarge, downed English pilot Captain Ronald Britain dons the impregnable armor of the Iron Ace when Doctor Lafarge, the last of Charlemagne's issue, is killed by the Nazis. Britain, now as the Iron Ace, and heir to a fantastic plane with a near-invulnerable iron coating, wreaks havoc among the Nazis.
