Agents of Atlas #4
The fourth chapter of this six-part Marvel limited series arrives with a striking Tomm Coker cover that places a statuesque blonde woman at its center, surrounded by an extraordinary menagerie of sea life — clownfish, a sea turtle, a giant octopus, and what appear to be sharks and rays swirling through the composition. The title "Return of the Queen" and that oceanic imagery combine to give this issue a genuinely mythic, otherworldly atmosphere. With Jeff Parker writing and Leonard Kirk on interiors, this is a confident midpoint entry in one of 2007's most distinctive Marvel team books.
