Agent X #9

The cover of Agent X #9 — cover pencils by Alvin Lee with inks by Rob Ross — puts the scarred, bald mercenary front and center as he lunges forward out of a fiery, debris-filled explosion, one hand outstretched and expression fierce. Scattered around him in the chaos are what appear to be food items and market-stall wreckage, giving the whole scene a wonderfully absurd edge that fits the series' darkly comic tone perfectly. Part two of "Hold That Ghost" promises to bring this arc to a head, and if the cover is any indication, the fireworks are very much literal.
