Agent 212 #30
Volume 30 of the long-running Belgian humor series finds the lovably hapless Agent 212 in over his head — literally — as the cover by Daniël Kox plunges him and a frantic companion into a flooded town, the two of them crammed into a tiny rowboat while submerged cars and scattered tires drift past in the churning water. The Dutch title "Een zware dobber" (roughly "a tough nut to crack") feels perfectly matched to the chaos on display, with lightning crackling overhead and panic written all over both faces. Writer Raoul Cauvin and artist Kox are clearly in fine form with this 2021 Dupuis release, delivering the kind of broad, warm comedy that has kept this series going strong for decades.
