Age of Apocalypse #3
A brooding, larger-than-life face looms in the background as a tight-knit group of X-Men — including a white-haired woman in a sleek black uniform, a cybernetic-masked figure, and several grim-faced teammates — hold their ground on Mike McKone's striking cover. The arc subtitle "Back from the Dead" sets a suitably ominous tone for this 2012 series set in Marvel's dystopian Age of Apocalypse reality. With David Lapham writing, Roberto de la Torre on art, and Lee Loughridge's atmospheric colors, issue #3 looks to keep the tension firmly wound.
