Adventures of Superman #544
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThe cover of this March 1997 issue says it all with quiet menace: a figure in a suit and press-badge hat slumped against a bullet-riddled brick wall, glasses knocked to the ground, while the Intergang symbol drips in red paint above him — and a Daily Planet placard hangs just overhead, making the threat feel very personal. Stuart Immonen and José Marzán Jr. deliver a strikingly noir composition that trades superhero spectacle for street-level dread. With Karl Kesel writing and the story titled "Dead Men Walking," this installment looks to be one of the darker corners of the Superman mythos.
