“The Withered Hand”

In "The Withered Hand," a 1953 tale from Adventures into Terror, treasure hunter John Clay steals a cursed ruby from a dying monk in Tibet—along with the man’s hand. Now, years later, the monk’s withered hand is slowly turning to ash, and John must race to keep it from crumbling, haunted by the monk’s final promise: he will return when the hand is gone. Paul Reinman handles both pencils and inks for the eerie interior art, while Carl Burgos delivers the chilling cover.
