Training at the Banana Guard Academy is clearly no joke — this fourth installment of the six-issue KaBOOM! miniseries puts a grinning Banana Guard cadet front and center, locked in an intense staff-sparring match with a brown-helmeted opponent while fellow cadets look on with a mix of smiles and nerves from behind a wooden fence. Aimee Fleck's clean, warm linework captures the show's cheerful energy perfectly, giving the whole scene a playful but surprisingly competitive feel. If you've been following this 2014 series, issue four looks like exactly the right moment for the academy drama to heat up.
