Adventure Time: Banana Guard Academy #2

The second installment of this six-part KaBOOM! miniseries keeps the Candy Kingdom energy going strong, with a cover by Aimee Fleck that captures a ceremonial badge-pinning moment: a cloud-like mustachioed figure in a bow tie presents golden Banana Guard Cadet badges to a couple of eager recruits, including a cheerful elephant-like cadet, while a familiar floating character peeks in from the corner. It's a warm, charming snapshot of academy life that perfectly suits the series' playful tone. With writing by Kent Osborne and Dylan Haggerty and interior art from Mad Rupert, this 2014 series continues to be a delightful expansion of the Land of Ooo.
