Finn and Jake are unmistakably in over their heads — or rather, inside a giant gumball machine — tumbling helplessly among a rainbow cascade of oversized gumballs on Mike Holmes's wonderfully chaotic cover for this 2013 KaBOOM! release. The image captures everything delightful about the duo: Finn flailing wide-armed while Jake stretches his rubbery limbs through the colorful chaos, all funneling toward the machine's dispenser below. Ryan North, Shelli Paroline, and Braden Lamb bring the "Adventure Tome" story within, making this a thoroughly fun addition to the series.
