Action Force / G.I. Joe #8/1995
"Ääniä syvyydestä" delivers a tense, pulse-pounding chapter in the Action Force / G.I. Joe crossover, where Cobra's cunning trap sets off a chain reaction beneath the ocean floor. Written by Larry Hama and illustrated by Rod Whigham, with inks by Andy Mushynsky and colors by George Roussos, the story follows Candy and Buzzer as they flee a military prison after being questioned about her father—Professor Appel, a Crimson Guardsman and scientist with hidden motives—only to find themselves caught in the aftermath of a deep-sea disaster. Mike Zeck and John Beatty’s cover captures the underwater tension perfectly.

Cobra tricks the Joes into attacking an underwater base (masterminded by Prof. Appel, Candy's father, a Crimson Guardsman and scientist), which due to its depth, is attacked by high explosives. The explosives cause an underground quake to begin, the results to be seen later on. Meanwhile, after Candy is questioned about her father's activities (of which she has no knowledge of), she and Buzzer are on their way to a military prison, but they both escape en route.
