“Venetian Blind Part Three”

In "Venetian Blind Part Three," Action Force launches a daring sea assault to rescue their stranded recon team on Cobra Island, as tensions escalate and casualties mount—Storm Shadow falls after a desperate act of defiance, and Zartan, disguised as Ripcord, is incapacitated and evacuated to the Pit. There, Doc detects a fleeting anomaly as Zartan’s holographic disguise flickers under the influence of sedatives, hinting at deeper deception. Meanwhile, the real Ripcord—unaware and drugged—lands at Springfield airport, now under the care of the unsuspecting Dreadnoks. Written by Larry Hama and illustrated by Rod Whigham, with inks by Andy Mushynsky, colors by George Roussos, and letters by Joe Rosen, the cover by Kev Hopgood captures the moment with sharp, kinetic detail.
