“Ancient Relics! Part Five”

In "Ancient Relics! Part Five," Rip-Cord and Blowtorch take Spirit to the mall, where he encounters Fred II—mistaking him for the original Fred I—enjoying a quiet family outing. Meanwhile, Destro reveals his true face to the Baroness, and a shocking twist upends the plan to have Billy kill Cobra Commander, as the truth about Billy’s parentage comes to light. With eight original Action Force members promoted to administration and Duke named full field commander, the team’s leadership shifts as Hawk rises to Full Commander and takes charge of the Pit. Written by Larry Hama and illustrated by Frank Springer, with inks by Andy Mushynsky, colors by George Roussos, and letters by Rick Parker, the issue’s cover by Jeff Anderson captures the moment’s tension.

Rip-Cord and Blowtorch take Spirit to the mall where they run across Fred II (Spirit believing he is Fred I) having an outing with his new family. Destro shows the Baroness his true face, and stops the plot to have Billy kill Cobra Commander by revealing that Billy is the Commander's son. Eight of the original Action Force (except Snake-Eyes) are promoted to administration and Duke becomes full field commander, as Hawk is promoted to Full Commander and the Pit's commanding officer.
