Action Comics #875

Part 17 of DC's "World Without Superman" saga, this May 2009 issue of Action Comics makes a bold statement right on its cover: Nightwing and Flamebird — costumed figures soaring against a dramatic blue globe — are stepping up as Earth's new protectors. Looming behind them in the cover art by Andrew Robinson is an imposing figure with glowing red goggles, a menacing presence that sets a tense, atmospheric tone. With Greg Rucka scripting and Eddy Barrows on interior art, "The Sleepers Part I" looks to be a compelling start to a new chapter for this legendary title.
