Superboy takes center stage in this September 2000 installment of Action Comics, with Ed McGuinness and Cam Smith's cover delivering a kinetic shot of the leather-jacketed, sunglasses-wearing teen of steel winding up a massive punch against a hulking mechanical fist that dominates the foreground. The mirrored, upside-down design framing the image gives the whole composition an eye-catching, off-kilter energy that suits the "Superman Arkham" arc's fourth chapter perfectly. Writer Joe Kelly and artist Kano bring their talents to what looks to be a high-stakes, hard-hitting chapter for Superboy fans.
