Vartox tries to tell Superman that Earth is in danger, but gets distracted by Lana Lang. Superman soon discovers that the whole world believes the Earth will be destroyed. Superman and Vartox figure out that the remains of his world can save the Earth. Vartox decides to leave Earth and go find a world that needs a hero.
