Action Comics #449
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis July 1975 giant-sized issue puts Superman in a tough spot — the cover by Bob Oksner depicts the Man of Steel being bombarded from all sides by the disembodied mechanical limbs and head of a shattered robot, whose speech bubble vows revenge for being smashed to pieces. It's a wonderfully kinetic image, with impact bursts and flying robot parts giving the scene real energy. As a bonus, the issue also promises two Action-Plus backup adventures starring the Golden Age Green Arrow and the Atom, making this a satisfying package of DC adventure.
