Action Comics #433
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis March 1974 issue poses a genuinely unsettling scenario right on the cover: Superman flies high above a city skyline, visibly alarmed, while his infra-red vision reveals two invisible figures dragging him toward an unknown doom — figures only the reader and the Man of Steel can perceive, rendered as ghostly red outlines against a split background. Nick Cardy's cover art sells the tension beautifully, with Superman's thought balloons spelling out his dilemma — he knows he's being taken to his doom, but doesn't dare resist. Rounding out the package is a backup feature starring the Atom, making this a two-for-one treat from DC's "Line of Super-Stars.
