Action Comics #327

Curt Swan and George Klein's cover depicts an aged, white-bearded Superman crouching on the ground, a frustrated Jor-El II in full Superman costume throwing his hands up in exasperation, and a gleefully mischievous young Kal-El II smashing through a brick wall — with the dialogue making clear that grandfatherly indulgence is very much at the heart of the conflict. Edmond Hamilton crafts what the cover bills as a "super-cast like no other," and the sheer charm of watching three cape-wearing generations squabble across one scene makes this a wonderfully imaginative chapter in Action Comics history.
