“Superman's New Super Powers!”

In "Superman's New Super Powers!", Superman faces a new kind of challenge when he suddenly gains telepathic abilities—just as a gang traps him in a lead-sealed cave with a chunk of Kryptonite. With his usual powers limited and a bomb set to detonate in Metropolis, he must use his mind to outwit the criminals before it's too late. Wayne Boring's art and Stan Kaye's inks bring the action to life, while Win Mortimer's cover captures the tension of the moment.

Superman suddenly discovers that he has gained telepathic powers. A gang of crooks have stored a chunk of Kryptonite in a cave sealed with a leaden door, which prevents Superman using his X-Ray vision. The gang overpower him and threaten to set off a bomb in Metropolis if Superman does not convince the authorities to pay him a one million dollar ransom.
