Tommy and Brent find a ship's lifeboat floating in space, containing four children abandoned by their parents. They claim to be from Zura, but no such planet is known. Thinking it a misremembering by the children, the Planeteers try a number of planets to no avail. The kids prove to be great scientific inventors and Tommy eventually tricks them into making a truth-confession machine. Under its influence their home world is revealed to be in another star system.
