At age seventeen Eddie Meeks is a sharpshooter with a pistol, but is reckless with a mean streak. His stint as a deputy results in the sheriff letting him go, so he embarks on a career as a bounty hunter. He has no compunctions about bring them back dead, providing there is a reward in it, even to shooting a crook in the back.
