“The Scrambled Superman!”

In "The Scrambled Superman!", Superman is trapped in the fourth dimension by Lex Luthor’s bizarre Atom Scrambler, leaving the world without its protector as Luthor targets a crusading newspaper. With only a clever twist of physics and Lois Lane’s quick thinking—using her typewriter and a surprise ammonia-laced lipstick—this classic 1949 adventure delivers a clever, high-stakes showdown. Written by Joe Samachson and illustrated by Al Plastino, with the cover also by Plastino, this Action Comics issue is a standout in the early Superman saga.

Luthor invents a teleportation machine - the Atom Scrambler - and sends Superman into the 4th Dimension to prevent him from carrying out a vendetta against crusading newspapers. Superman manages to contact Lois by manipulating her electric typewriter, leading her to Luthor's lair, where she uses an ammonia-laced lipstick to throw the gang into confusion, then throws a switch which restores the Man of Steel, who once again captures his old enemy.
