At the Fortress, Superman, Superboy, and Supergirl battle Thao-La, who is threatened by Mongul with her people's lives unless she kills Superman and family. After the battle, Superman faces repercussions from the Justice League over the drastic actions he took to stop Atlantis and the United States from going to war. Then Superman makes plans to head to Warworld to free Thao-La's people, but without the support of the League, he enlists the aid of his new team, The Authority.
