“Abadazad”

In *Abadazad* #1, writer J. M. DeMatteis and artist Michael Ploog launch a surreal journey when Kate, haunted by her brother Matt’s mysterious disappearance five years prior, receives a strange visit from an eccentric neighbor. The woman claims Matt wasn’t taken from this world—but pulled into Abadazad, the fantastical realm that once lived in Matt’s imagination. With only a cryptic clue and a tea-stained map, Kate must step into a world where stories breathe and legends move. The interior art by Michael Ploog and Nick Bell’s colors bring this dreamlike realm to life, while the cover by Michael Ploog captures the eerie wonder of the threshold between worlds.
