A Town Called Terror #5

Szymon Kudranski's cover for issue #5 of this 2022 Image horror series is genuinely unsettling — a massive, monstrous face looms across a blood-red sky above a lone church silhouetted among barren, skeletal trees and gravestones, the whole scene radiating dread. Steve Niles and Kudranski have built something atmospherically rich here, and "Home to Roost" as a chapter title only deepens the foreboding. If slow-burn supernatural horror with serious artistic craft is your thing, this one earns its place on the shelf.
