“Foreword”

In "Foreword," the third chapter of A Shadowline Saga: "Critical Mass," Dirk Ravenscore, aided by the enigmatic Pan, summons the ancient shadow Sabnak to hunt down the Power Line kids in Hong Kong. When the kids outwit Sabnak and turn the tide, they’re led straight to Ravenscore, who makes a desperate, life-for-information exchange—revealing Professor Henry Clerk’s plan to trigger a nuclear holocaust in the USA. Written by D. G. Chichester and Margaret Clark, with striking art by Gray Morrow and vivid colors by Steve Buccellato, Sherilyn Van Valkenburgh, John Wellington, and Christie Scheele, this 1990 Marvel issue delivers high-stakes tension and a chilling twist, all framed by John Bolton’s intense cover art.
