Volume 4 of A Certain Scientific Railgun arrives with a quietly striking cover by Motoi Fuyukawa, showing a short-haired girl in a school uniform reaching out with concern toward a longer-haired figure who appears translucent and ethereal, wisps of pink vapor drifting above them against a moody rose-tinted background. The contrast between the grounded, uniformed student and the ghostly, almost dissolving presence beside her gives the image a genuinely unsettling tenderness.
