Sean Phillips's cover for this 2011 Boom! Studios issue is a genuinely unsettling image: a blood-red sky engulfs the ornate Gothic clock tower of Big Ben as billowing crimson and purple smoke rolls up from below, swallowing the landmark in an atmosphere of creeping dread. The biohazard symbol looming above the title reinforces just how thoroughly the Rage virus has reshaped a recognizable world. Michael Alan Nelson, Alejandro Aragon, and colorist Nolan Woodard bring that same sense of menace to the interior pages of this post-apocalyptic series set in a devastated Britain.
