This eighteenth issue of Boom! Studios' 28 Days Later series arrives with a cover by Sean Phillips that is all dread and saturated crimson — a lone figure wades through what appears to be blood-red water, fists clenched, their silhouette broken apart by ripples and reflected light against a backdrop of shattered rubble. The biohazard symbol looming overhead and that overwhelming wash of red make the atmosphere feel genuinely oppressive in the best way.
